Wayiyans from the Center-East weed the roads linking Ouargaye and Cinkansé


The provincial coordination of the citizen watch of the Center-East and the populations mobilized once again on Thursday August 22, 2024 for the weeding of the axes linking Ouargaye and Cinkansé.

They carried out weeding and cutting of trees along national roads No. 16 and 17, linking Tenkodogo to Cinkansé and Tenkodogo to Ouargaye.

This citizen action aims not only to strengthen the visibility of users of these sections, but also to improve security on these routes formerly dominated by armed terrorist groups.

Ibrahim Zoboudré, provincial coordinator of Koulpelogo citizen monitoring, says: ‘Today is the third time that we are here to help the fighting forces improve visibility on these axes, which are important to us, as well as for the FDS in securing the province. I thank everyone who made the trip, given the impressive mobilization we are seeing. »

He then urged the populations of Lalgaye and Dourtenga to overcome their internal differences and to promote social cohesion and tolerance, necessary to s
upport the efforts of the FDS in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

The head of the Faso presidency for the Center-East region, Adaman Kamboné, welcomed the commitment of the populations by emphasizing the national scope of this action.

‘What we are doing today is not for ourselves, but for the national cause. The Wayiyan leaders of Koulpelogo, Kouritenga and Boulgou are all present to respond to my call. We showed great harmony today, and it is in this spirit that we must continue the struggle until we liberate our territory,’ he underlined, calling on the Wayiyans to distinguish themselves by their exemplary nature in this genre. of initiative.

Weeding activities will continue in the commune of Sangha, prey to terrorist attacks.

Adaman Kamboné took the opportunity to appeal to the entire population of Koulpelogo province to mobilize as one for the Ouargaye-Sangha stage.
