UNA Director General praises the World Media Congress and its contributions to promoting tolerance and coexistence
The Acting Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abed Rabbo Al-Yami, underlined, Wednesday November 16 2022, that the World Media Congress organized by the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, represents an opportunity for the media of the Member States to learn about the latest technologies and best practices, while also promoting, in the field media, knowledge and coexistence between different peoples and cultures.
Mr. Al-Yami pointed out that the Congress, which is organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency, WAM, also confirms the important and central role of the United Arab Emirates, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed state chairman bin Zayed Al. Nahyan in launching global projects and initiatives.
He points out that the congress is the culmination of years of effort in which the UAE has been able to build an integrated international media system based on supporting development efforts, promoting tolerance and spreading knowledge. .
The Acting Director General commended the efforts of Federation member, Emirates News Agency, in organizing the Congress, explaining that these efforts confirm the excellence of member news agencies and their leadership in exploring and adaptation to transformations in the field of media work.
The activities of the World Media Congress began on Tuesday, November 15 and continue until Thursday, November 17, with the participation of more than 1,200 leaders and pioneers of the media sector, specialists, influencers, experts and symbols of thought in region and globally, representing six continents.
