Nyeri County Government has issued a notice to all successful applicants who won for Field Marshal Muthoni Kirima bus park stalls to start paying rent for the stalls before the end of this month.
The notice put on the county government face book page states that the successful applicants are required to make payments for their stalls for three (3) months to enable the County government to commence the process of issuance of allotment letters.
The notice stated that all stalls located at the ground floor rent is 3,000 per month x 3 months and all stalls located at first floor rent to pay is Sh 2,000×3 months.
The rent payments will be deposited at the County Government of Nyeri revenue account A/C No 1140760319, KCB Nyeri branch or 01141666594400., Co-op Bank,Nyeri Branch Or 0110280843674 or Equity Bank Nyeri branch.
Department of Trade, Cooperative, Culture and Tourism, Chief officer George Mwangi told KNA at his office yesterday that all successful applicants are required to present the banks slip after
payment to revenue office at the county government office where they will be issued with a County government of Nyeri official receipt, before proceeding to trade offices for verification and issuance of allotment letters.
He said all payments must be made between September 25 and October 25, 20224.
Mwangi added that those who will not have paid within the stipulated time will have their stalls re-allocated to other applicants without any further references to them.
He advised applicants to check with the department of trade for confirmation that they won their stalls and that their names are in the final list of successful applicants before making any payments.
”Those individuals who will attempt to present stolen or lost ballot papers will be arrested and prosecuted for fraud and theft’ warned Mwangi.
This comes after the County government mid this year conducted a successful balloting exercise for 600 stalls at the Field Marshal Muthoni Kirima bus terminus on Wednesday 21, July 2024 at Nyeri, Kamukun
ji grounds.
