Colas East Africa, a manufacturer of bitumen products for road construction, has introduced a new method that deviates from traditional hot mix solutions. Instead, they have presented innovative, water-based products, that offer enhanced safety and environmental benefits.
Engineer Michael Kamau and Colas East Africa team demonstrated cold mix asphalt technology in road construction and repair project in Nakuru County, yesterday.
During the demonstration along Kenya Institute Medical Training College (KMTC) road, next to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Colas East Africa showcased the effectiveness of their technology by patching potholes using their pre-prepared products.
Engineer Charles Mutua, the Operations Manager of Colas East Africa, cited successful projects undertaken in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area through collaboration with the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA). Moreover, they have notable projects completed in Uganda, specifically in Kampala, and Tanzania.
