A 15-year-old boy identified as Immanuel Mukamba Muliwa reportedly took his own life by hanging himself at his home in the Zambezi Region on Friday.

According to a crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Sunday, the deceased allegedly hanged himself with a rope and died on the spot. No suicide note was left behind, and his next of kin have been informed.

In a separate incident in the Oshana Region, a 28-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man in the Ongwediva district on Friday.

The crime report alleges that the suspect broke into the victim’s home with a hammer and a spanner and found her asleep with her one-year-old baby boy.

“He then pushed the victim into the toilet and raped her. Afterwards, he took her flat-screen TV, cellphone and N.dollars 600 in cash,” the crime report stated.

The suspect has been arrested, and the stolen items have been recovered.

Police investigations continue.
