Minister Kargougou welcomes free care in mobile clinics


Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè Minister in charge of health, Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou, welcomed Wednesday the government decision to offer free mammography and screening services for precancerous lesions of the cervix in mobile clinics.

‘From now on, populations will be able to have access to this specific health care and services,’ declared the Minister of Health after the Council of Ministers adopted a decree providing free health care and services offered by mobile clinics in Burkina Faso mobile clinics in Burkina Faso.

Dr Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou maintained that this free measure, which concerns mammography and screening for precancerous lesions of the cervix, will make it possible to improve the financial accessibility of target populations to these health services.

For him, the adoption of this decree is in line with the vision of the Head of State who wants every Burkinabé to have equitable access to quality health care and services.

Recall that on July 25 of this year, the Presid
ent of Faso, Ibrahim Traoré, handed over 15 mobile clinics to public health establishments in all regions of the country.

They are equipped with equipment for specialized care such as mammography, ultrasound, colonoscopy.
