Ivory Coast-AIP / The “YES” foundation of Yodé and Siro offers 500 school kits to schoolchildren in Divo

Divo, The foundation of musicians Zouglou, Yodé and Siro, called “YES”, offered, Friday September 17, 2021, 500 school kits, to schoolchildren, in difficult family situations, of the school group “ Dioulabougou- Fraternité ”, located in the Lebanese district of Divo.

The donation ceremony was attended by the representative of the Regional Director of National Education and Literacy (DRENA), Tano Konan, education officials, students and parents.

The 500 kits are each composed of a backpack, with inside notebooks, a slate, and a set of geometry tools. Boxes of packets of chalk were also given to the managers of the establishments concerned.

For the two artists Yodé and Siro, this gesture is only a fair return of things, an act of recognition. “For us, it all started here at Divo. This is where we had our first producer (Claude Bassolé), we were still young. It is therefore normal for us that the first action of our foundation is in Divo ”, explained Yodé.

DRENA representative Tano Konan thanked donors for this selfless act. He noted that this gesture is of high social significance because, in the Lebanese Dioulabougou district, where the school group receiving donations is located, there are many families in financial difficulty.

Siro specified that the “YES” foundation was created in May 2021 and the first public act it poses is this delivery of school kits to Divo. Other donations are planned in the coming days, in the towns of Maféré, Sarala, and Daoukro. This foundation is headed by Mrs. Kouassi Laeticia, and has for missions, among others, to help the social reintegration of destitute children, children of the street.
