Ivory Coast-AIP / MUGEFCI: militants clearly against candidate Gnogbo Paul

Activists of the Ivorian Movement of Teachers for the Defense of their Rights (MIDD) of Abidjan 4 held an Extraordinary General Assembly at the end of which they decided not to recognize Gnobo Paul as national secretary of the MIDD, reproaching him “his actions which go against the statutes (article 5) and internal regulations”.

Secretary General of the Plateau Dokui section, Kouakou Kouadio Arsène, affirms that the MIDD protests “against the measures taken by their first official, Gnobo Paul, and demands his resignation from the head of the Movement of teachers for the defense of their rights (MIDD ) ”, For differing views on the future of the movement.

Among the points of divergence, also appears the placing under supervision of the sections of Anyama and Koumassi. “There would have been no election if the suspension of comrades Secretaries General of Abobo Plateau-Dokui and Anonkoua-Kouté”, maintains Kouakou Bernard and his comrades who say they do not recognize as representatives of the National Office of MIDD, appointed by Gnogbo Paul in Abobo Plateau-Dokui and Anonkoua-Kouté.

“These new representatives suffer from legitimacy, because they are unknown to the militants”, they maintain, affirming not to recognize with certain militants the Sieur Assué Kouassi as Regional of Abidjan 4, appointed by the national office of Gnogbo Paul.

The Secretary General of Pateau-Dokui, Kouakou Kouadio Arsène, for his part, demands the “unconditional” repayment of withholding taxes which he considers abusive made on the wages of their comrades in May 2021 by other unions such as the SNEPPCI and SAEPPCI led by Gbobo Paul.

The new president of MUGEFCI will be appointed this Saturday, December 11, 2021 between Zadi Gnagna, Gnobo Paul and Dr Laurence Kamara by the mutualists at the end of an elective general assembly.
