The Vice-President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, praised the leadership of the Senegalese President, Macky Sall, Thursday July 06, 2023, at the opening of the first edition the economic forum called ”Invest in Senegal” organized at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center in Diamniadio.

According to him, the leadership of President Macky Sall has enabled Senegal to record undeniable economic and social progress recognized by all, before indicating that the holding of this forum is the perfect illustration.

He also took the opportunity to encourage Ivorian and Senegalese economic actors to forge fruitful partnerships through investments supported by private capital from both countries.

Macky Sall, meanwhile, insisted on the responsibility of public authorities in the quest for private investment, to work primarily to guarantee peace, stability and the rule of law, which he presented as the pillars of a attractive business environment. He underlined that everywhere in the world, these three parameters are the prerequisites without which there can be neither trade nor sustainable investment.

Tiémoko Meyliet Koné who represented President Alassane Ouattara at the “Invest Senegal” event was there as guest of honor.

The opening ceremony of the forum was placed under the high patronage and presidency of the Senegalese Head of State. The forum, which ends on July 8, is organized by the National Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Works in Senegal (APIX.SA).
