The teaching staff of the modern high school of Vavoua began a strike on Thursday, December 09, 2021, to denounce the phenomenon of early holidays, which students engage in as the Christmas holidays approach.
The teaching staff no longer feels safe in the establishment, castigates its representative, Sioulou Hugues, revealing that unidentified people, armed with knives and clubs, burst into the school on Monday 06 and Tuesday 07 December 2021, to dislodge the students causing several material damage and injuries including the principal of the high school, Koné Lyla and a police officer.
The work stoppage continues until further notice. The Christmas holidays are scheduled from December 17, 2021 to January 2, 2022, it is pointed out.
