Tiassalé, The head of the delegation of the Directorate of School Life (DVS), Aswan Amon, invited the heads of school structures of the regional directorate of National Education and Literacy of Tiassalé, to revitalize sport, by ensuring the effective establishment of sports associations, regional leagues at primary and secondary level, which will be managed in concert with the Ivorian Office for Sports in Schools and Universities (OISSU).

“The institutional part embodied by the State has done its part by issuing decrees and interministerial orders which make the practice of sport compulsory in all establishments and schools. It is through the establishment of all the structures that we will lead to the formalization of the sports movement in schools”, noted Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Mr. Aswan during a meeting.

For Ahono Aka, member of the delegation, the traceability of athletes and the possibility for associations to benefit from discounts on contracts, are advantages which should encourage the formalization of the athlete in the school environment.

“In any case, the formalization of the practice of sport is imperative and each structure will have to tackle it,” maintained Mr. Ahonon.

He announced the organization of a tournament with the Mariatou Koné trophy, Minister of National Education and Literacy.
