Côte d’Ivoire-AIP The regional council of Sud-Comoé has invested more than 10 billion FCFA in 321 projects
The Sud-Comoé regional council announced that it had invested more than 10 billion FCFA in 321 projects in 10 years during the second ordinary session held on Friday April 14, 2023 in Grand-Bassam.
The director of technical services and general resources, Tahi Roméo; indicated that the majority of these projects have been carried out or are in the process of being carried out in various sub-prefectures of the Sud-Comoé region in the fields of education, health, electricity, drinking water supply among others.
Mr. Tahi said that 49% of the budget has been allocated to education with the construction of 11 colleges, five colleges nearing completion and six others very soon under construction.
The president of the Sud-Comoé regional council, Dr. Aka Aouélé, was delighted with the work done. However, he noted that much remains to be done.
He added that the priority is to enable people to benefit from these infrastructures made available to them. According to the chairman of the council, beyond the construction of schools, schools have seen their capacity increased and others have been rehabilitated.
The prefect of the Sud-Comoé region, prefect of the department of Aboisso, Koukougnon Légré, praised the “enormous work” carried out by the regional council of Sud-Comoé in favor of the population. He said his joy for the vision of President Aka Aouélé who works for the well-being of the populations. He committed the prefectural body to help local elected officials to serve the population.
The session ended with the adoption of the three-year program project at a cost of 891544000fCFA by the 31 councilors present.
