The Moronou Regional Council has instituted a prize for excellence called “Ebrossa awards”, the first edition of which is scheduled for July 2023.

During an ordinary meeting, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Bongouanou, the regional advisers adopted the project to create the prize. It aims to encourage women and men from the region who will distinguish themselves both nationally and internationally in their sector of activity, said President Affi N’guessan, who intends to make the winners role models for the young generation.

Mr. Affi explained that the prizes will be awarded in 15 areas of activity. These are the arts, culture, literature, communication and media, entrepreneurship, sport, the young leader, the woman leader, the basic sciences, the human and political sciences, the medical and pharmaceutical sciences, the traditional chiefdom, the political leadership, the primary establishment, the secondary establishment and the higher establishment.

Composed of nine members, the prize jury will be chaired by the regional prefect when the president of the regional council will act as vice-president.
