This consultation session also made it possible to document the cases of success and the changes made by the transition and political inclusion program on the daily life of the communities and to collect the recommendations formulated by them with a view to the sustainability and strengthening of acquired from this program.

“This meeting allowed us to present the achievements and impact of the political transition and inclusion program carried out over the past four years in the Gbêkê region. It was very fruitful and satisfying for us, especially since the interventions of each other allow us to know the real needs of the populations in terms of actions to be carried out to create the conditions for social cohesion”, indicated the general coordinator of the PSCPD, Doumbia Soumaïla.

The participants in this meeting, in particular, the local political actors, the representative of the Ministry of Solidarity and the Fight against the Poor, community leaders, religious leaders, as well as the leaders of youth and women’s organizations have seized the opportunity of this meeting to congratulate the PSCPD team for its contribution to strengthening social cohesion in Bouaké.

The secretary general of the Bouaké prefecture, Ankoun Kouadjo, who chaired the meeting, and the representative of NDI, Paul Emmanuel Bakayoko, also congratulated and encouraged the PSCPD for all that it does to consolidate peace and social cohesion in Bouaké and throughout the Gbêkê region.

It aims to support long-term political stability in Côte d’Ivoire through an inclusive political transition and the resolution of the structural needs of communities.

As part of the implementation of this program, a number of committees have been set up to respond to the challenges faced by their respective communities. These include, in particular, inter-political consultation for democratic elections, the monitoring committees for community solidarity plans (PSC) and more recently the local platform for inter-religious dialogue (PLDI), it is specified.
