Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ The president of the “Gnamine Boka” cooperative wants to make Koun-Fao a major chicken producing area

Agnibilékrou, The president of the “Gnamien Boka” cooperative, Kouadio Badou, has pledged to work to make the department of Koun-Fao one of the major chicken producing areas in Côte d’Ivoire

Elected at the end of the constituent assembly held on Friday May 12, 2023 held at the youth center of the sub-prefecture of Tienkoikro, in the department of Koun Fao (East, Gontougo region), the president of the very first cooperative of farmers of this constituency has expressed its desire to develop chicken farming among its members.

‘Training farmers is a very important part that we will work on, making sure that we find time to bring farmers together and train them in farming techniques in order to offer quality products to customers,’ said Mr. Kouadio.

He promised ‘as soon as possible’ to work on building mills so that we can produce food for their animals ourselves. Its greatest ambition is to ensure that the Koun-Fao department houses the headquarters of the Ivorian Poultry Interprofession (IPRAVI), the apex of the livestock sector in Côte d’Ivoire currently based in Abidjan.

The president of the Scoop “Gnamien Boka” appealed to all farmers and all those who aspire to raise chickens to join the cooperative society “Gnamien Boka” so that the department of Koun Fao which registers the largest number of poultry farms is cited among the largest chicken producing cities in Ivory Coast.
