Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ The president of COSIM advocates peace and social cohesion in Béoumi

Béoumi, March 22, 2022 (AIP)- The President of the Superior Council of Imams (COSIM), Cheikhoul Aïma Ousmane Diakité, was in Béoumi on Sunday March 20, 2022 to advocate peace and social cohesion there during a tour that He has been performing in the Gbêkê and Hambol regions since Saturday.

The Muslim spiritual guide, in particular, called on the members of his religious community living in the department of Béoumi to cultivate peace and social cohesion for a harmonious life with the members of all other religious communities with whom they live on a daily basis. In particular, he also invited them to adopt behaviors conducive to peaceful coexistence.

Cheikhoul Aïma Ousmane Diakité took the opportunity of this visit to congratulate the administrative, political and traditional authorities and the religious guides of the city of Béoumi for all the actions taken in favor of peace and social cohesion in this city which had been shaken by a community crisis which caused many losses in human life.

Among these, the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Sidy Tiémoko Touré, represented for the occasion by his parent, Hamed Touré. The canton chief of Béoumi, Nanan Aho Barthélémy, also present at this ceremony, thanked the guide of the Muslim community of Côte d’Ivoire for this visit, the first of a high Muslim authority in Béoumi, to advocate peace there. and live it together. He hoped that his call for peace and social cohesion would not come out of thin air.

In addition to his message of peace, the President of COSIM challenged the Muslim community on certain scourges, such as banditry, drug consumption and irregular immigration. He invited Muslim religious guides and parents to sensitize the Muslim youth of Béoumi to turn away from these dangerous practices with disastrous consequences.
