Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ The new elected president of blood donors promises a national day of its members
Bonoua, May 14, 2023 (AIP)- The newly elected president of the National Union of Blood Donors of Côte d’Ivoire (UNADSCI), Kouassi Gérard Bonaventure, made the commitment, Saturday May 13, 2023, to initiate and to organize a national blood donor day during his mandate.
This announcement was made at the end of an elective general assembly held in Bonoua, at the end of which he was brought to the head of the national structure of voluntary blood donors, replacing the outgoing president, Kouakou Konan Jacques. He promised to work to make UNADSCI better known and to allow it to benefit from more notoriety among the populations and decision-makers.
‘We are going to initiate and organize a national blood donor day. The first edition could be held in Oumé to encourage and congratulate the local section of UNADSCI for its dynamism’, announced Kouassi Gérard.
He intends to work on the opening of new blood banks on the national territory.
The new president of the Union of Voluntary Blood Donors has promised to implement important actions that will help recruit new members.
Kouassi Gérard Bonaventure, previously president of the Koumassi section, was elected for a three-year term by his peers from all over the country.
