Kouto The populations of Mahalé (sub-prefecture of Gbon) jubilantly celebrated the electrification of the locality, Friday, January 21, 2022, in the village public square.
The sponsor of the ceremony, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning, Bruno Nabagne Koné, expressed his joy and satisfaction to see this village in the Bagoué region (Northern Ivorian) emerging from obscurity. He also indicated that in addition to the comfort brought by electricity, it is an accelerator of the economy, therefore a development tool. He therefore asked the young people of Mahalé to seize the opportunity to create new jobs.
The spokesperson for the populations, Diallo Boukô, asked the godfather to convey the recognition of all Mahalé to the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, because the village has long awaited this memorable day.
A resident of Mahalé, Koné Madégué Sindou, testified for his part of the change that electricity has brought to their daily lives. It is a stage leading to the development which is thus crossed, he recognized.
With Mahalé, the electrification rate of localities in the Bagoué region currently exceeds 90% because of the 166 localities in the region, 151 have already been connected. On November 14, 2021, Minister Bruno Koné sponsored the “Festival of Light” in Blagonon, in the town of Kasséré.
