Aboisso The Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) sensitized, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, the populations and new adults to register on the electoral list during a meeting in Aboisso.
According to the regional supervisor of the CEI, Porquet Salimata, every Ivorian citizen has the right and the duty to be registered on the electoral list. She said that this act is “important” not only for the development of her locality but also for Côte d’Ivoire.
She urged young people, especially those who will turn 18 on December 10, to register on the electoral list. Also affected by this operation are all persons with Ivorian nationality who fulfill the required conditions and not yet registered on the electoral list, all persons appearing on the electoral list who have undergone changes in their personal data, change of address, change of surname.
The regional supervisor indicated that it is necessary to have the national identity card, or the nationality certificate accompanied by an administrative document with photo, or the identity certificate, or the ONECI enrollment receipt, as required documents to register on the electoral list for those who are in Côte d’Ivoire.

She noted that the prefectural body is asked to focus on schools, the Ministry of the Interior asked to give the list of the various people who died in the localities.
The regional prefect and prefect of the department of Aboisso, Coulibaly Gando who was accompanied by the sub-prefects of the region of the department of Aboisso urged the population to take ownership of the operation.
