Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Sidibé Mamadou elected head of the Yamoussoukro Chamber of Trades

Yamoussoukro, The president of the departmental professional organization (OPD) Building, Sidibé Mamadou, was elected on Sunday January 8, 2023 to head the departmental interprofessional committee (CID) of Yamoussoukro.

A total of eight DPOs from the department formed the electoral college responsible for choosing the new CID.

With 75% of the votes cast, Sidibé is ahead of two other candidates to whom he immediately reached out in the interest of players in the sector in the department of Yamoussoukro. He launched a call for union and invited artisans to register.

“We must leave the informal sector, regroup to enable the State to better help us,” declared the new president of CID Yamoussoukro.

According to the vice-president of the electoral commission of the National Chamber of Trades, Yapo Assiéné, these elections which are taking place throughout the national territory will make it possible to organize the sector, to know the number of actors because “a sector unorganized cannot provide opportunities for the development of funding”.

For him, this is therefore the beginning of the formalization in which everyone should take part.
