Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Seven cases of COVID-19 reported on January 7, 2023 (Ministry)

Abidjan, The Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage recorded on Saturday January 7, 2023, seven new cases of COVID-19 out of 406 samples taken, i.e. 1.7% of positive cases, three cured and zero deaths.

“As of January 7, 2023, Côte d’Ivoire therefore has 87,957 confirmed cases including 87,113 people cured, 833 deaths and 13 active cases. The total number of samples is 1,665,429,” a statement from the ministry reads.

On January 6, 2023, 3,371 doses of vaccine were administered for a total of 24,177,125 doses from March 1, 2021 to January 6, 2023.

Minister Pierre Dimba invites all people over the age of 12 to be vaccinated at vaccination centers. Vaccination against COVID-19 is free and voluntary.
