The deputy and 1st deputy mayor of the commune of Bouaké, Dr. Paul Dakuyo, donated on Saturday September 17, 2022 5,000 school kits to students from poor families.
This gesture, which he has been making for nine years, aims to help disadvantaged families send their children to school. It is also part of the solidarity policy advocated by the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara.
“It’s just a gesture to help our parents send their children to school during this difficult time. It’s our way of reducing their school loads. At the same time, we are applying the “a more united Côte d’Ivoire” program of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara. We are investing in education so that in the years to come we will have executives capable of propelling Côte d’Ivoire to the firmament”, indicated the “generous donors”.
The latter, moreover, urged the beneficiaries of these school kits to work for the simple reason that, for him, only work pays. He did not fail to invite the parents of students not to resign despite the difficulties of all kinds. “The task is certainly difficult, but it is our duty as parents to supervise our children until they become independent,” he recommended.
The spokesperson for the parents of the children receiving the donations, Siafa Maniga, expressed his gratitude to MP Paul Dakuyo for this gesture of high social significance. He also urged his peers not to disappoint him by ensuring that these school kits he offers them are used wisely by their children and contribute to their academic success.
