Cote d’Ivoire-AIP/ Les innovations des affectations en 6ème et seconde expliquées aux acteurs de l’école à Issia

An information and awareness-raising meeting relating to the online assignment of students in 6th grade and the online orientation-assignment of students in 2nd grade brought together all the actors of the education system of Issia, Thursday, May 2023, 11, at the village hall of the town hall.

Initiated by the guidance and scholarships department (MENA-DOB), this meeting focused on the issue of the generalization of guidance and online assignment of students in second class.

The orientation process and the innovations were explained by the deputy director in charge of monitoring the students’ curriculum at the DOB, Tiécoura Kouamé, who is also head of delegation.

After a pilot phase in the regional directorates of National Education of Abidjan 1, Aboisso, Korhogo, Soubré and Yamoussoukro, this year 2023 marks the generalization of innovations in online assignments and orientations for students in second class.

This reform, which places the parent of a pupil at the heart of the process of affection for his child, has been, according to Mr. Tiécoura, a success since its start in July 2019. The phase of exchanges with the participants has enabled the delegation from the DOB to clarify several concerns, among others, the cheating of certain promoters of private establishments. These, with the complicity of school principals, affect students without the consent of their parents.

In this sense, texts are in preparation to frame the assignments and pin down the culprits, announced Tiecoura Kouamé.
