Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Les artisans vulcanisateurs de Man enrôlés au statut de l’entreprenant

Man, April 04, 2022 (AIP)- The vulcanizing craftsmen of Man were enrolled in the status of entrepreneur, Saturday, April 02, 2022, by the services of the regional directorate for the Promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), of Handicrafts and Transformation of the informal sector of Tonkpi.

“We say thank you to the government of Côte d’Ivoire who thinks of us the vulcanizers who operate without papers. From now on, we will be recognized by the State and our guardianship. We will be able to benefit from their support to carry out our job”, rejoiced, the president of the associations of vulcanizers of the city of Man.

The status of the entrepreneur is a new simplified legal regime that applies to any company with a turnover of less than 50 million. Its acquisition gives the beneficiary social, tax and economic benefits, explained the director of the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Handicrafts and the Transformation of the Informal Sector in the Tonkpi region, Bamba Moustapha.

SMEs, throughout the world, constitute an indispensable lever for the economic development of countries. Their contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) is significant in developed countries while in developing countries it is very low.

This situation can be explained, among other things, by the existence of a very remarkable informal sector. To remedy this, the ministry in charge of promoting SMEs is implementing the status of the entrepreneur.
