Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Laying of the foundation stone of the regional headquarters of COSIM and an Islamic denominational school in Dimbokros

Dimbokro, The President of the Higher Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire (COSIM), Cheikh al Aïma, Ousmane Diakité, laid the foundation stone of the regional headquarters from COSIM and an Islamic denominational school, a gift from an executive from the N’zi region, Aka Harthman.

This activity was held during a ceremony sponsored by the Minister of Defense, Téné Birahima Ouattara, Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the presence of several personalities.

By laying this stone, Cheick Aima Diakité welcomed the gesture of the donor who, not being of the Muslim faith, offered these infrastructures to Muslims. “This act is a philosophy. It is a whole reality of coherence and good living together. It is a beautiful image of unity that this offers to all Ivorians”, he noted, affirming that this representation is the teaching bequeathed by the founders of the country.

Mr. Aka thanked the guide of the Muslim community for accepting to come personally to lay this stone. He indicated that through this action, he intends to give the Muslims of the region, in addition to a meeting place, a framework for study which is a reference in this community in Côte d’Ivoire. He said that thanks to Allah, the Merciful, he will have the means to complete the construction of these infrastructures.

The presenter of the sponsor, Dramane Coulibaly, moreover, general manager of the National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI), justified the acceptance of sponsorship by Birahima Téné Ouattara by the fact that he considers the construction of a building for the servants of Allah and especially to study the life of the Prophet Muhammad as a great mark of faith in God.

“He joins us in our desire to build Dimbokro and thanks him for this initiative,” he said, welcoming the presence of Cheick Aima and Mabri Toikeusse at this ceremony.

Prayers and blessings were made for the donor, for Dimbokro, for Côte d’Ivoire as well as for the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara.s
