Côte d’Ivoire – AIP / Launch soon of the geolocation of places of worship in Madinani

Madinani, May 13, 2023 (AIP) – The various cult places in the department of Madinani will soon be geolocated, announced Friday, May 12, 2023 by the National Security Council (CNS) during an information and awareness meeting at the conference of the prefecture.

This delegation, led by Doumbia Bakary, instructed the administrators and religious guides on a vast operation which will begin very soon in the department. This operation, in progress on the national territory, aims to geolocate the guides and their places of worship for more information.

“It will be a question during this vast operation of listing all the places of worship with all the information that it will take, and at the same time, We urge all the religious guides to put themselves in good standing vis-à-vis the law through adequate documents,’ said Mr. Doumbia.

This operation, according to the civil administrator in charge of worship, Aboua Yapo, “aims to have a reliable directory and then a geolocation of places of worship and the people who are responsible for them who can help the State to convey essential messages for security and all things sociable.

The prefect of the department, Adolphe Zégbé Kouamé, says he is counting on the population to make this project a great success. Through this project, the State wants to create a close collaboration with the religious guides by putting them all on an equal footing.
