Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/Inter/ Establishment of the Guinean National Transitional Council led by Dr Dansa Kourouma

Abidjan, The President of the Guinean Transition, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, announced on Sunday, January 23, 2022, the list of 81 members of the National Council of the Transition (CNT) and who will be led by Doctor Dansa Kourouma .

The young Dr. Dansa Kourouma was until then president of the National Council of Guinean Civil Society Organizations. It will have as first vice-president Ms. Maïmouna Yombouno, from resource persons, and as second vice-president Elhadj Sény Facinet Sylla, appointed by religious denominations.

The CNT, which acts as Parliament, must legislate throughout the duration of the transition, which began on September 5 following the coup which overthrew former President Alpha Condé in power since December 2010.

The political parties, nearly 200 in this country, send the largest contingent to the CNT with 15 members, followed by civil society organizations which have 13 representatives, then the defense and security forces represented by nine members.
