Fabrice Konan noted the importance of the corn cob both in the nutrition and comfort of farm animals, in the production of furfural, an industrial chemical compound derived from various secondary agricultural products such as corn, the bran of oats and wheat.
“It (furfural) is used as a solvent in refining. It is also used in the manufacture of flavorings in the food industry”, explained the Ivorian-Frenchman staying in Niakara.
