The Sud-Comoé regional council, in partnership with the NGO Ivoire sustainable development (IDD), set up a school canteen sustainability committee on Friday, October 14, 2022, during the fourth session of the council in Aboisso.

This committee will have the role of seeking solutions for the sustainability of school canteens in the region, said the secretary general of IDD, Mawa Coulibaly. He will work, she added, to seek funding for school canteens in order to supply these canteens from the region in order to help the State in this task.

The establishment of this committee is part of the execution of the second cycle of the LIANE project (leadership and initiatives for non-state actors) of the European Union (EU) with the support of the management of school canteens in partnership with the regional council of Sud-Comoé.

IDD had trained in this context, in April 2022, the managers of development mutuals and decentralized communities to take concrete actions in the sustainable supply of school canteens in Aboisso.
