Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Decoration of 28 Animal and Fisheries Resources officers admitted to retirement

Yamoussoukro, Jan 23, 2022 (AIP) – The Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH), Sidi Touré chaired on Friday January 21, 2022 in Yamoussoukro a decoration ceremony for 28 agents from his department admitted to claiming their retirement rights.

The ceremony, the first of its kind at the Mirah, consecrated seven commanders, four officers and 17 knights to whom the minister wished success in “the new life that is beginning” for them.

“The State is grateful for the services rendered, which is why I am happy to decorate you today, on behalf of the State of Côte d’Ivoire and on behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Alassane Ouattara”, said declared Sidi Touré who promised the institutionalization of the decorations at the Mirah.

The spokesperson for the workers, Koné Adama, hoped that the decorations would extend to all workers, especially those still in activity, and be accompanied by financial advantages or bonuses “in order to boost the enthusiasm of the most dedicated workers”. .

This ardor for the task has allowed, according to the Minister, to open important projects and also to reap interesting results.

This is the case for the National Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Policy (PONADEPA) recently adopted by the Council of Ministers.

It is an instrument which “will make it possible to respond to new challenges and anticipate future difficulties in the sector of animal and fishery resources”.

It revolves around five strategies, namely the SNPC (national strategy for the promotion and coordination of initiatives in animal and fishery resources), the SNPA (national strategy for the development of animal production), the SNGP (national strategy for the management sustainable fisheries), the SNDA (national strategy for the development of aquaculture) and the national strategy for strengthening veterinary public health (SNRSPV).
