Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ Covid 19: The REIAC gives nose masks to students in Abidjan

Songon, The Network of Ivorian Teachers Friends of China (REIAC), in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Côte d’Ivoire, organized, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Abidjan a muffler presentation ceremony to members of the friends of China students’ club, the Municipal High School 1 of Attécoubé and the modern high school for young girls of Yopougon.

A total of 1,500 mufflers were given to the beneficiaries in the presence of the headmaster of the Municipal High School 1 of Attécoubé, Yaya Coulibaly. Some 1,500 others were handed over to the modern high school students of the young girls of Yopougon in the presence of the deputy head of the establishment (ACE), Léon Dorou in the Sino-Ivorian friendship room housed within the said High School.

According to the president of REIAC, Aimé Christ Yoro Loua , these endowments are a contribution of the Chinese Embassy to the protection of these students against Covid-19 .

In addition to these mufflers, the best female students received a symbol of China, in particular ”panda” soft toys.

“We thank the president of REIAC for all the activities he carries out for the emergence of the network and especially for relations between China and Côte d’Ivoire. We are very happy to receive these mufflers after scholarships offered by the Chinese Embassy. We dare to believe that the best is yet to come, the Lycée municipal 1 d’Attécoubé will not remain on the sidelines and we will fight to be among the best clubs for China-friendly students in Côte d’Ivoire,” said its headmaster. , Yaya Coulibaly.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Côte d’Ivoire has donated millions of face masks and infrared thermometers to members of China-Friendly Student Clubs through of the REIAC .

The next stop in the distribution of mufflers is Alassane Ouattara Modern High School in Anyama. The pupils of this school will also benefit from 1,500 mufflers and ”panda” soft toys for the best girl pupils.

Created on February 15, 2015, the REIAC works to share experiences acquired in China to popularize Chinese culture in Côte d’Ivoire. It is intended to be a bridge between China and the Ministry of National Education and a tool for cooperation between the Ivorian and Chinese peoples.
