Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ BIA Niger finances the renovation of the second operating theater of the Issaka Gazoby maternity hospital in Niamey

Abidjan, BIA Niger, a subsidiary of the BCP group (Morocco), has signed a partnership agreement with the Issaka Gazoby maternity hospital in Niamey for the development of the establishment’s second operating theater , reports a press release sent, Wednesday, January 22, 2022, to the AIP.

The operation will enable the maternity ward to provide better care for obstetrics gynecology and neonatology services.

The contribution of this bank will make it possible to “ensure better health coverage for all the populations of Niger, and to offer better working conditions to medical personnel”, declared the Minister of Public Health, Dr Idi Illiassou Mainassara.

For her part, the Managing Director, Ms. Nana Aïssa Ango assured that “BIA Niger will continue to commit to improving the well-being of the country’s populations”.

Through this funding, it renews its commitment to social responsibility and confirms its desire to contribute to improving the conditions of access to care for the most disadvantaged.

The project is part of the civic actions of the BCP group, whose subsidiaries in West Africa invest in four areas of intervention (Social, Entrepreneurship, Environment and Culture), aimed at reconciling economic performance, social progress and preservation of the environment.

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place on December 29, 2021 in the premises of the maternity hospital, in the presence of Minister Idi Illiassou Mainassara, and Director General Nana Aïssa Ango.
