Ferkessédougou, Apr 04, 2022 (AIP)- The head of the canton, Abdoulaye Ouattara, and the executives of the Palaka canton, department of Ferkessédougou, will soon organize a tribute ceremony to the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, for its local development actions, learned the AIP during an interview on Sunday April 03, 2022.

“The President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, since his accession to power has boosted development in our canton through educational, health and economic infrastructure,” said Mr. Ouattara.

He added that the Palaka people are preparing to show their gratitude to him through a grand ceremony which will be organized very soon in the canton. In this regard, “we are increasing the information meetings with the managers, the populations and all the other brothers of the department”.

“Unity, social cohesion and mutual understanding must be at the heart of these preparations”, he stressed, calling for the involvement of the population for the success of this event.

The Palaka canton has 35 villages, two sub-prefectures (Togoniéré and Koumbala) and one commune.
