The Lions Clubs Abidjan Galaxy organized on Saturday March 25, 2023 a Master class around the theme “networking through the service club”, in order to highlight the link between these two concepts and also enlighten the participants. about the missions of Lions Clubs International. This master class was led by an audience of panelists from Lions Clubs and the Ivorian Junior Chamber (JCI), in particular, the vice-governor of Lions Clubs District 403-A2, Daniel Sampah, the personal development coach, Stephane Ouattara, marketing mix manager, Franck Demingnou, and JCI president, Armand Assi. It showed the participants that the Lions Club “is far from being a cult”, as some people think, but is a service club based on humanitarian aid. Mr. Sampah stressed that this century-old service club aims to seek the well-being of the most vulnerable populations, through the voluntary actions of its members. This club wishes to respect ethics and morality in all these actions. Speaking of professional networking, he said that “one does not become a Lion, to attract markets, or the favors of a member”, but the member of Lions Clubs can weave a professional network through his humanitarian actions. , and his good behavior in the group. Supporting this assertion, Stephane Ouattara invited the youth to create networks by distinguishing themselves through work, training, moral and humanitarian qualities. He urged young people to “give” rather than always seek to “receive”. For Armand Assi, it is important for young people to enroll in Service Clubs or in any other social groups, which can enable them to develop leadership and face the professional world with more serenity. Funds raised during this master class will be used to help fight diabetes, one of Lions Clubs’ areas of action, in addition to disaster relief, humanitarian action, fight against hunger, the environment, childhood cancer, youth.
