Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ A cooperative acquires new machinery for cashew nut processing in Bouna

Bouna, The cooperative society of agricultural producers (COCOPRAGEL) has acquired new machines for its cashew nut processing unit installed in Bouna.

These are ten shellers, almond drying ovens, a latest-generation packaging machine, which will allow this cooperative to go from a processing level of 300 tons to 1,500 tons per year.

The machines were presented on Friday January 21, 2022 by the president of COCOPRAGEL, Bassifou Ouattara, in the presence of the 1st deputy mayor of Bouna, Morifi Cissé.

According to the director of this processing unit, Tuo Alaman, the cooperative intends to gradually equip the unit to not only continue to improve its annual production, but above all to offer optimal working conditions to the employees.

The COCOPRAGEL processing unit offers many products derived from apples and cashew nuts, namely juice, peanuts, fries, butter, jam and many other products which are marketed in Côte d’Ivoire and internationally.
