Central Region has, for the third year in a row, retained the wheel chair basketball girl’s titles in the just concluded National Special Needs (SNE) Secondary Schools Championship in Kisumu City.
The region secured the win with twelve points, beating their close rival Western Region, who managed ten points ahead of Nyanza Region, which took the third position with eight points.
The games, which kicked off last Friday, also saw Western Region bag the Amputee boy’s football title with 12 points as Central Region emerged second in a hotly contested match that saw Rift Valley and Nyanza tie at 6 points each.
In the cerebral palsy boy’s football category, Western Region scooped the title with eight points after trouncing Coast and Central, who tied with five points each.
Nyanza, on the other hand, bagged the para volleyball trophy with 12 points after beating Rift Valley. Western regions, on the other hand, managed ten and eight points, respectively.
At the same time, Dancun Kimutaia emerged as the player of
the tournament during the blindfold goal game championship at Kisumu Girls High School.
