CBO Donates Sanitary Pads To Keep Girls In School

Magonya CBO in Central Seme Ward in Kisumu County, has donated learning materials, including books and sanitary towels to learners at the Engineer Owiti Abong’ Girls in the Sub- county, in efforts geared to lift education standards in the area.

Magonya CBO Patron, Francis Oyucho, cited the donation as being among the Social Corporate Responsibilities the Organization undertakes, geared towards uplifting the living standards of the local community.

‘My name if Francis Oyucho and we are the architects of Magonya CBO, whose vision is to uplift the education standards of the local community, as well as to empower the community and its general welfare,’ said Oyucho.

The Head Teacher, Mrs. Esther Milafu, expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that the donation would go a long way, to help spur academic standards in the school.

‘It’s a humbling gesture that Magonya CBO has extended to our school and we are extremely grateful for they have not only taken care of the girls’ sanitary needs, but also minded abo
ut their social and academics desires,’ she said.

The learners too expressed their gratitude for the gesture, which they noted would go a long way in assisting them attain their academic dreams.

‘ I want to thank Magonya CBO for the great support they have extended to us, today, including the free sanitary towels and the books, all which will greatly enhance our performance,’ Mary Margaret, a Form Four student enchanted.
