Butere Roads To Undergo Routine Maintenance

Over ten roads will undergo maintenance and improvement in this financial year to enhance connectivity in Butere Sub County.

Area Member of Parliament (MP) Tindi Mwale said the repairs will commence under the sponsorship of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).

He said the Nyenyesi-Imanga road has already started and will be completed before the year ends to be used by the locals.

Mwale said good roads will boost trade and commerce for the people, thus ensuring business with greater ease across the region.

‘The type of business that you can engage in is dependent on the road system available in the area,’ he said.

He said the first step towards economic growth is to put in place a good road network that spreads out to the entire region.

The MP was speaking in his constituency yesterday while touring some of the projects that he has spearheaded through NG-CDF.

The roads to be repaired include Shiatsala-Shibembe, Masaba-Mahondo, Ekumira-Shiyiro-Mukhongolo, Eshiyanza-Khuqueen, B
utere Lower Market-Milambo, Shianda Primary-Khutinga, and Emukangu-Muyundi roads.

Others include Bukura-Lukoye-Khwisero, Nyenyesi-Imanga, Emunuku-Elwamini, Emulole-Imanga, Masaba-Mahondo, Mushitoyi-Shiasa, Manya-Butere, Eshikangu-Imanga, and Manyala-Lana roads.
