Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe Minister in charge of Cooperation, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, arrived yesterday Saturday in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, where he will take part in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Burkinabe Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré was welcomed in Beijing by the Chinese Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Lu Shan, as well as by the Burkina Faso Ambassador to China, Daouda Bitié.
Minister Traoré will participate, from September 4 to 6, 2024, in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) alongside the Burkinabe Prime Minister, Apollinaire Kyelèm de Tambèla.
This meeting is an opportunity for Burkina Faso to strengthen its cooperation ties with the People’s Republic of China and to share its vision on issues such as peace and security, political governance, industrialization, modernization of agriculture, as well as cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
During this 2024 edition of FOCAC, the discussion will focus on the theme of ‘Joi
ning forces to promote modernization and build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future’.
