A 57-year-old man, GK Séraphin, was sentenced to four months in prison and released from a fine of 100,000 FCFA by the Danané court of first instance for fraud.

GK Séraphin, claiming to be the owner of the land, sold an illegal plot to Mr. Viviane. The latter realized the scam when she was putting the plot in question when another person introduced herself to her as the owner.

She complains to Séraphin who gives her, this time, in the presence of witnesses, his own plot housing an unfinished building. As soon as she makes the building habitable, GK Séraphin arrives with her children to invest the place.

The court’s prosecutor requested 12 months during the trial held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, but the President granted four months due to the accused’s repentance. He also authorizes Mr. Viviane to stay in the house, while letting her know that she can always go to court if she receives threats from Seraphin.
