The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) defines its priority actions to be carried out during the period 2022-2025, as part of a workshop on the development of the programming document multi-year expenditure -annual performance project (DPPD-PAP) for this period.
The priority actions are contained in the DPPD-PAP, an instrument for programming the activities and expenditures of the ministry in a three-year perspective. It is drawn up as part of the implementation of the program budget, and will be definitively validated on Friday at the end of this workshop.
The priority actions will be grouped and articulated around three MEF programs, namely general administration, macroeconomic and political management and the Treasury and public accounting, explained the MEF chief of staff, Diomandé Gondo, at the opening. work, Thursday, June 17, 2021.
According to the chief of staff, the objective of the minister in charge of the economy is to contribute to the achievement of the emergence of Côte d’Ivoire through effective management of the government’s economic, financial and monetary policy. . To raise the country to the stage of an emerging country, Minister Adama Coulibaly has defined strategic orientations. These include, among other things, improving the governance of economic and financial administration, mobilizing the funding necessary for government action, and consolidating public finances.
Since January 1, 2020, Côte d’Ivoire has adopted the program budget as a mode of budget management. The Ivorian government has thus decided to establish greater consistency between development objectives, budget allocations and the results to be achieved.
