Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / The Kani department’s social cohesion watch and monitoring committee installed
The Kani department’s social cohesion watch and monitoring committee has been officially installed at the town hall wedding hall, in the presence of the delegated mediator, in charge of the regions of Worodougou, Béré and Bafing, Soro Doh as well as administrative, customary and religious authorities of Kani.
Prefect Boka Kouassi Vincent indicated on Wednesday June 30, 2021 that social cohesion between the different communities is essential for the well-being of all.
Mr. Soro welcomed the installation of this committee whose missions are to prevent and manage conflicts between communities, through the establishment of dialogue. He asked the administrative authorities to work in synergy with the committee for greater efficiency, within the framework of conflict management. He also wished to see this committee of eight members more fleshed out and representative of the populations of the department of Kani.
