Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / The CNFCI calls on the populations of the border areas to collaborate with the Defense forces in Bouna

The Executive Secretary of the National Border Commission of Côte d’Ivoire (CNFCI), Diakalidia Konaté, calls on the populations of the border areas to collaborate with the Defense and Security forces to curb the attacks repeatedly in their regions.

“The government has deployed task forces all over the border areas. The populations should be involved in the resolution of these security issues through collaboration with our forces ”, declared Mr. Konaté, Thursday June 09, 2021 in Kalamon (Doropo), during the national commemoration of the African Day of the borders. .

Through the voice of their leader, Seydou Ouattara, the populations of Kalamon have made a commitment to strengthen this collaboration with the Armed Forces and the Police.

In recent months, Ivorian localities bordering Burkina Faso have been plagued by terrorist attacks. The recent attack took place on the night of June 7, 2021 in Tougbo (Téhini) and claimed the life of an Ivorian soldier.
