Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / The Catholic Church of Kong celebrates the feast of charity under the sign of peace and social cohesion

The Christ Roi parish of Kong celebrated the fifth edition of the feast of charity and the closing of the pastoral year 2020-2021, under the sign of peace and social cohesion.

On the eve of this holiday celebrated on Sunday June 27, 2021, during which the entire population of Kong gathered to talk about living together, a concert was hosted by the cantor O’Neil Mala who called the daughters and sons of the locality to remain united in order to support the development projects in progress.

“Muslims and Christians, we are one family. Nothing should divide us because we all belong to the same God. Kong needs you for a lasting peace ”, he expressed in his songs during this evening enhanced by the presence of customary authorities and religious guides from various religious communities.

Speaking, the parish priest of the said parish was delighted with the enthusiasm around this celebration before thanking certain political authorities, in particular the ministers Anne Ouloto, Ouassénan Koné, Thomas Camara, and many other executives who did not cease supporting initiatives in favor of peace and social cohesion in the department of Kong.

During Sunday mass, the Catholic faithful of the city as well as those coming from the surrounding hamlets and villages made their financial contribution for the completion of the construction works of the offices and parish halls
