Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / Malaysian experts inquire about investment opportunities in “La Poste du futur”

A delegation of Malaysian experts, on a prospecting mission in various sectors in Côte d’Ivoire including the digital economy, visited the premises of “La Poste du futur” located on the campus of the ‘ Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Cocody, Thursday, June 10, 2021, to inquire about investment and partnership opportunities.

This visit took place under the guidance of the General Manager of La Poste de Côte d’Ivoire, Isaac Gnamba-Yao, and in the presence of the Minister of Digital Economy, Telecommunications and Innovation, Roger Félix Adom.

Speaking exclusively in English, Mr. Gnamba-Yao presented to the delegation led by Shahidan Faiez from Afrik Nexus, the different services of this fully digital office, inaugurated on May 20, 2021.

He explained the ministry’s desire to make it a success in order to duplicate this example in the 200 polling stations installed across Côte d’Ivoire. To do this, it is necessary to forge public-private partnerships or “co-construction”, noted the CEO of La Poste, saying the Ivorian side’s willingness to collaborate with Malaysia.

As for Minister Roger Adom, he mentioned the five axes on which the “Post of the future” project is based. These are respectively the universal service, the extension to the 200 existing post offices, financial inclusion, e-commerce as well as the distribution and logistics component.

In addition to the facilitation of procedures through digitization, these new services induced by “La Poste du futur” also aim to be able to pay the 800 employees of “La Poste de Côte d’Ivoire”, suggested the CEO.
