Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / Human rights: The CRDH Gbêkê-Local media mechanism reactivated

The mechanism of collaboration between the regional human rights commission of Gbêkê (CRDH-Gbêkê) and the local media, set up in 2020 on the instruction of the CNDH, was reactivated on Friday 02 July 2021 , during a meeting held at the headquarters of this structure for the promotion and defense of human rights located at Air-France 2.

For the participants in this reactivation meeting, it was a question of setting up the action plan for the second half of 2021 including the themes to be addressed during this period.

“We took advantage of this meeting to define the issues on which we will dwell in the 2 th half of 2021. These topics are related to the promotion and defense of human rights,” said the CRDH president, Kourouma Fanta, at the end of this meeting.

Ms. Kourouma did not fail to urge local media actors to take an active part in this process of collaboration for the promotion and defense of human rights in the Gbêkê region. “The animation of this mechanism must be the business of all media players in Bouaké,” she urged.

The latter took this opportunity to welcome this initiative of the National Human Rights Council which will promote collaboration between human rights defenders and media figures in order not only to enrich their knowledge. ci, but also to promote human rights in the Gbêkê region.
