The first sub-prefect of the constituency of Domangbeu, in the department of Zoukougbeu, was presented, Thursday, July 1, 2021, to the populations, during an official ceremony marking the opening of the administrative district.

Mrs. Samassi née Traoré Aminata, first sub-prefect of the district of Domangbeu actually took office in the presence of executives, the population and members of the prefectural body of the department. After a visit to the premises of the sub-prefecture, it was presented to the population by the prefect of Zoukougbeu.

The president of the Haut Sassandra regional council, Professor Alphonse Djédjé Mady took the opportunity to invite people to work. Because according to him, the sub-prefect comes to supervise and support the populations in the development.

“The sub-prefect came to accompany us on the path of development. So stop selling off your land and get to work (…), said Alphonse Djédjé Mady.

Erected as the capital of a sub-prefecture since 2005, Domangbeu, with more than 10,000 inhabitants, is now a functional sub-prefecture.
