Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / An exhibitor at the 6th ShieldAfrica Show presents powerful tools for solving investigations
Geolocation of mobile phones and mobile DNA analysis laboratory are today essential performance tools in investigations for all security forces, as indicated by the Deveryware group, a French company presents at the International Security-Defense Exhibition ( ShieldAfrica) which is in its 6th edition at the Abidjan National Police Academy.
According to the export director of the Deveryware group, David Boisseau, by taking part in this international fair, the group’s vision is to present its products and explain how its tools are useful in solving investigations. Also, he intends to “evangelize” the Ivorian forces on the capacity of the tools of its structure to help track down targets.
Mr. Boisseau explained that the main action of the Deveryware group is the geolocation of mobile phones for legal purposes. In the event of an arrest, this tool makes it possible to search for evidence allowing to highlight that “the person was indeed there at the place of the offense at that time”.
He also noted the existence of a technology on forensic DNA analysis which is a tool for reliable identification in the context of investigations.
“The fact of being able to find traces of DNA on traces of blood but also on guns or on parts of telephones for example is a convincing element of proof”, insisted Mr. Boisseau convinced that the products which present its structure are a hope for the Armies in Africa.
