Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / A citizens’ movement denounces a campaign of “ destabilization ” of the Marahoué

The citizen movement “ Friends of the Minister for the Promotion of Good Governance, Capacity Building and the Fight against Corruption, Épiphane Zoro Bi Ballo ” denounced Wednesday June 17, 2021 in a statement in Abidjan, a campaign of “destabilization” of the Marahoué.

According to this movement, on Saturday June 12, 2021, during a tribute ceremony to the Head of State initiated by elected officials of the Rassemblement des houphouëtistes pour la democratie et la paix (RHDP), in Bouaflé, people chose one of them, as the spokesperson for the Marahoué in place of the minister “Zoro Bi Ballo”, regional coordinator of the party in power in the region.

“We observe that these statements come in a context where, thanks to the leadership and lobbying of Minister Zoro Epiphane Ballo, the Marahoué region is beginning its development and its serenity”, noted the spokesperson of the movement, Iritié Philémon, citing between others, the construction of integrated health centers in the villages of Vafla-Kouéra, Flaya, Manoufla, Kpangbassou, Yaokro, etc.

According to him, these acts of division risk slowing down the development of the region which is registering several projects thanks to the leadership of Mr. Zoro Bi, namely the asphalting of the Sinfra-Bouaflé axis and the main arteries of the city of Zuénoula, the erection of the sub-prefectures of Bonon and Gohitafla into a full-service department.

“We note that individuals are maneuvering with their faces uncovered to destabilize the dynamic of the emergence driven by President Alassane Ouattara with his officially chosen brother Zoro Epiphane Ballo”, lamented Mr. Iritié, urging President Alassane Ouattara to personally take charge of This folder.

This movement close to Minister Zoro Bi Ballo also calls on all executives, traditional leaders, religious guides and community leaders in the Marahoué region to dissociate themselves from this action.

During his state visit to the Marahoué, during his first meeting in Sinfra, Thursday, September 24, 2020, the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, paid tribute to Zoro Bi Ballo Epiphane for his loyalty to his side and the difficulties that he experienced with the Ivorian State at the time when he was magistrate in the town of Dimbokro.

A native of Sinfra, the magistrate at the time in Dimbokro issued, on September 26, 1999, Alassane Ouattara’s certificate of nationality, in view of the 2000 elections. This caused him problems with the Ivorian justice system and he experienced a long period of exile.
