The Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage recorded, Thursday, June 17, 2021, 40 new cases of COVID-19 out of 2,886 samples taken, ie 1.4% of positive cases, 24 cured and zero deaths.

“As of June 17, 2021, Côte d’Ivoire therefore has 47,973 confirmed cases, including 47,346 people cured, 306 deaths and 321 active cases.

The total number of samples is 681,693 ”, states a statement from the Ministry.

On June 16, 5,420 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered for a total of 718,197 doses administered.

The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre Dimba, invites all people over 18 to be vaccinated in vaccination centers. Vaccination against COVID-19 is free and voluntary.
